Supplementary Gram Smear Program

What is?

Supplementary Gram Smear program is an optional program introduced in August 2009. It consists of two simulated Gram Smears per sendout and is shipped twice a year. The smears are sent out in February and August of each year along with Clinical Bacteriology survey sendouts. These smears are in addition to the Gram smear challenges that are currently sent with Clinical Bacteriology surveys.

Results and Grading

Supplementary Gram Smear program is part of the Clinical Bacteriology CMPT program. Results are assessed similar to Gram smear challenges that are currently sent with Clinical Bacteriology surveys: on the cellular content and the bacterial component of the smear. For more information on grading criteria, click here.

Critiques Critiques are posted along with the Clinical Bacteriology Program results.
